2006-2007: One of the top young athletes in the Ivy League and a consistent scoring member of the Cross Country squad. Recipient of the Bears' Top Freshman Award. Led the team at the BU Invitational and Heptagonal Championships. Placed 16th overall and was the at Cross Country Heps at Van Cortland Park, covering the 8k course in 25:12.8. Established new personal records of 4:17.11 in the mile and 14:36.42 in the 5000m.

2006-2007: (Cross Country) Placed first at BU Invitational (Sept. 8) with a time of 26:15...Placed 18th at Iona Meet of Champions (Sept. 30) in 25:27.3

High School: Personal Bests- 14:29 (3 mile), 9:13 (3200m), 4:21 (1600m), 1:56 (800m). Escareno placed eighth in the Illinois state cross country meet.
