Dr. Tyler Yearby enters his first season with the Brown football program in 2025 as an Offensive Quality Control Assistant. Yearby brings nearly two decades of experience from both inside and outside of college football to College Hill.
Yearby is the Co-Founder and Co-Director of Education for Emergence, a sports movement skill education company that offers prerecorded coach education courses and interactive learning opportunities in helping athletes become more skillful players. His company has developed online education courses in areas such as skill acquisition, coaching, practice design, and sport performance training. He has led off-season training groups for college and professional football players to enhance speed, and strength and power development. His instruction has led to him to lead over 325 courses, workshops and conference presentations in 15 different countries.
A certified strength and conditioning specialist, Yearby has also held positions as a High-Performance Specialist with US Ski and Snowboard, an assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach at the University of Minnesota, and a graduate assistant/running backs coach at Northeastern State (Okla.) among others.
Yearby earned his bachelor’s degree from Northeastern State in 2005, went on to earn his master’s in applied kinesiology from Minnesota in 2011, and earned his Doctorate in Sport and Exercise (DSE) from the University of Gloucestershire in England in 2024.
