Perdue Named AP All-American

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Brown senior linebacker John Perdue's strong senior season has been recognized as the Houston, Texas native has been named an Associated Press Honorable Mention All-American.
He is the first Brown player to earn All-America honors from the AP since multi-time Pro Bowler and Super Bowl champion Zak DeOssie in 2006.
Perdue is one of 12 Ivy Leaguers to earn AP All-America honors, eight of whom made the honorable mention list. Perdue was previously named Honorable Mention All-Ivy in November.
As one of the Bears' captains this season, Perdue started all 10 games at middle linebacker, leading the team and ranking second in the Ivy League with 88 total tackles (8.8 tackles per game) and three interceptions. He added four pass breakups, two fumble recoveries, 3.0 tackles for loss and 2.0 sacks.
Brown won its last two games of the 2025 season to finish 5-5 overall.
