In 2011: Saw action in 21 of 27 games thisseason and started in 14 of 16 games on the mound for the Bears… Posted a 7.23 ERA giving up 86 hits, 63 runs, and 31walks. Melvin also struck out 28 batters in 50.1 innings pitched… Melvin batted .263 at the plate and in 38 at bats had 10hits, including four doubles, two homeruns and nine RBI.

In 2010: Made 15 appearances on the moundfor the Bears and received six starts to go 0-3 on the year… Earned a 3.95 ERA and in 49.2 innings pitched she allowed61 hits, 28 earns runs and struck out 26 batters … Pitched one complete game against CCSU (3/14) where she struck outa season-high nine batters … Also saw some action as a pinchhitter … In 21 at bats she had 4 hits, two runs scored andone RBI.

In 2009: Saw action at second base and at themound for the Bears starting in 27 of 32 contests … Combinedfor 14 hits, which included three doubles and a homerun, and alsoscored eight runs and tallied 11 RBI … At the mound, Melvinwent 2-4 on the year with a 5.75 ERA … Starting in seven of12 contests, she pitched 35 innings and allowed 38 hits, gave up 30runs, walked 33 and struck out 30 batters … Had aseason-high four hits against North Florida, which included twodoubles, and her homerun came against Holy Cross.
