Christopher Tilton spent four seasons with the Brown University baseball staff from 2022-2025 as the program's pitching coach and recruiting coordinator.
In his four seasons on College Hill, Tilton mentored three All-Ivy pitchers, including 2023 Second Team honoree Jack Seppings, who was also named to Great Britain's reserve squad for the 2023 World Baseball Classic. Three of Tilton's pitchers at Brown went on to sign professional contracts as Seppings inked a free agent deal with the Brewers in 2024, and Charlie Beilenson (2024-Mariners) and Zach Fogell (2023-Red Sox) were both MLB Draft selections.
In his first season on College Hill in 2022, Tilton coached the Brown pitching staff which ranked second in the Ivy League with a 5.47 ERA and ranked third in opponents batting average. He mentored Honorable Mention All-Ivy reliever Paxton Meyers, who was second in the league with a 2.93 ERA, and First Team All-Ivy honoree Tobey McDonough, who ranked No. 3 in the Ivy League with a 3.17 ERA. In league games, Meyers ranked No. 1 among all Ivy pitchers with a 2.33 ERA.

Known for building cultures of excellence and integrity, Tilton served as the pitching coach at Colby College from 2019-21. Alongside his time at Colby, he gained an array of experience at the collegiate, prep, and summer ball levels.

At Colby, Tilton developed the physical and mental skills of the pitching staff, including through the use of analytics, while also contributing significantly to the team’s recruiting efforts.

Prior to his time at Colby, Tilton served as the head coach at Coe-Brown Northwood Academy in New Hampshire during the 2018 season. He acted as the pitching coach at Belmont Abbey College in North Carolina in 2017 following a stint as the assistant coach/recruiting coordinator at Assumption College in Massachusetts in 2016. Tilton worked as an assistant coach/recruiting coordinator at St. Michael’s College in Vermont during the 2015 season.

Alongside his experiences at the collegiate and prep levels, Tilton has coached multiple teams in collegiate summer baseball leagues. He served as the manager of the Norsemen of the Greater Northeast Collegiate Baseball League from 2018-20. Tilton acted as the manager of the Seacoast Mavericks of the Futures Collegiate Baseball League in the summer of 2015 and worked as the pitching coach for the North Shore Navigators of the FCBL in summer 2014.

A native of Rochester, N.H., Tilton earned a bachelor’s degree in sport management from Southern New Hampshire University in 2014.
