Taylor Alward joined the Brown University Athletic Communications staff in September of 2021 and serves as the primary communications contact for Women's Basketball, Volleyball, Softball, Men's & Women's Water Polo, Men's & Women's Swimming & Diving and Equestrian
Prior to coming to Brown, Alward served as Sports Information Director at Indiana University - Purdue University Indianapolis for four years. At IUPUI, Alward worked with the volleyball, women's basketball, softball, swimming & diving and tennis programs.Â
Before working at IUPUI, Alward served a 1-year internship for the American Athletic Conference as a Communications Assistant from 2016-2017.
He also has experience as a former Tournament Coordinator for the Indiana Golf Association and as a weekend sports anchor for Local News 8 in Idaho Falls, Idaho.
Alward received his bachelor's degree in communications/journalism in 2012 at Carroll University and later went on to obtain his master's in sport administration at Ball State in 2016.
He is an active member in College Sports Communicators (CSC).
Alward lives with his wife Carrie, son Will and dog Cheyenne in North Kingstown.
