Men’s Cross Country Takes Second, Women Fourth at Dartmouth Meet

HANOVER, N.H. – The Brown men's cross country team took home second place, while the women finished fourth on Saturday at the Meribel Sanchez Souther Invitational, hosted by Dartmouth.
The men finished with 87 points to take second out of 10 teams, trailing only Boston College (34 points). The women were fourth out of nine teams, trailing UMass (55), Yale (62) and Northeastern (84).
Junior Colin Fisher (14th/25:09.7), junior Luke Bodden (15th/25:13.3) and sophomore Duncan Frisbie-Smith (16th/25:15.0) led a tight pack at the front for Brown, followed by rookies Marcus Adelman (20th/25:19.8) and Luke Cushing (23rd/25:21.8). Sophomore Benjy Street (30th/25:31.3) and senior Matt Wing (41st/25:46.2) rounded out the Bears' top seven in a race that featured 122 finishers.
On the women's side, senior Olivia Fraga led the way for Brown in 11th place out of 114 finishers with a time of 21:33.6. Junior Ariana Thiel-Hadjilambrinos (21:42.3) was next in 15th, followed by freshman Anna Hastings (20th/21:50.0), freshman Audrey Crowder (23rd/21:58.7) and sophomore Charlotte Murphy (24th/21:59.4). First-year Crickett Phipps (37th/22:32.6) and senior Scarlet Stimson (47th/22:43.4) completed the top seven.
The Bears will compete next on Friday, October 2 at the Paul Short Run, hosted by Lehigh in Bethlehem, Pa.
