Majette Named NEISA Women’s Crew of the Year, Hamilton Named Sportswoman of the Year as 10 Sailors All-NEISA Recognition

PROVIDENCE, R.I. - Brown sailing's Katherine Majette was named NEISA Women's Crew of the Year and Kaitlyn Hamilton was named Sportswoman of the Year, with 10 Bears earning All-NEISA recognition as announced by the conference on Thursday night.
In making the All-NEISA selections, the committee considers the competitive record of each candidate. The record is made up of each candidate's individual results in both Interconference and conference events. It also includes any Collegiate National Championship competitions if applicable.
Blake Behrens and Guthrie Braun were named to the First Team of Open Skippers, while James Brock was named to the Second Team. Braun's selection marks his third-straight year earning All-NEISA recognition.
Katharine Doble and Laura Hamilton were named to the First Team of Women's Skippers, with Katherine McNamara being named to the Second Team. Doble and McNamara have earned All-NEISA recognition for two consecutive years.
Vera Allen and Caroline Keeffe-Jones were named to the First Team of Open Crews. Keeffe-Jones was named to the Second Team last year.
Reese Corckran and Katherine Majette were named to the First Team of Women's Crews.
Behrens was named a finalist for Open Skipper of the Year, with Doble and Laura Hamilton being named finalists for Women's Skipper of the Year. Corckran was named a finalist for Women's Crew of the Year. Keeffe-Jones and Majette were named finalists for Babineau Crew of the Year, and Noah Stapleton was a finalist for Rookie of the Year.
