
Women's Water Polo Beats VMI 24-8

PROVIDENCE, RI - Brown women's water polo (11-6) had a huge win against VMI on Sunday (March, 8)Â at the Katherine Moran Coleman Aquatics Center, beating the Keydets 24-8.Â
The Bears started the game strong with the first goal netted by Cleo Washer. Brown pushed its first half lead to 10, taking a 14-4 lead into the break.
Megan Newby led the Bears, scoring six times. Alexandra Love netted four goals, with Samantha Kim right behind, scoring three. Eight other Bears scored, keeping the team in the lead throughout.Â
Somto Okafo saved four goals from the Keydets, with Sarah Decker also saving two shots.
UP NEXT
The Bears are off next weekend but will pick up play again on Saturday, March 21 at 10:30 a.m. against Mercyhurst in Princeton, NJ.Â
