PROVIDENCE, R.I. - The latest Coaches Poll and RPI rankings were released on Thursday and Brown wrestling featured two nationally-ranked wrestlers. In addition, eight Bears received a spot in the RPI for their respective weight clsss.Â
Andrew Reall (197) and Alex Semenenko (285) remained fixtures in the rankings, coming in at 19th and 27th, respectively.
Reall has compiled a 32-4 overall record on the season, the most wins for any Brown wrestler in a single season this decade. Semenenko is sitting on a 24-6 overall record and is coming off of a dominant 22-6 tech fall in 6:31 against Harvard's Daniel Bittner last Sunday.Â
The RPI is a statistic that takes into account a wrestlers winning percentage, strength of schedule, and opponents winning percentage to help determine tournament qualification and seeding. In order of weight class, No. 38 Khimari Manns (141), No. 35 Austin McBurney (149), No. 43 Ethan Mojena (157), No. 43 Max Norman (165), No. 47 Drew Clearie (174), No. 54 Thomas Sandoval (184), No. 17 Andrew Reall, and No. 22 Alex Semenenko (285) are all in the top 55.Â
The last time that the Bears sent multiple wrestlers to the NCAA Tournament was in 2019 when four wrestlers qualified. The top 33 wrestlers at each weight class qualify for NCAAs.
