Nagy Sets 200 IM Program Record During Day Two of Ivy Men’s Swim and Dive Championship

PRINCETON, N.J. – Brown men's swimming and diving finished day two of the 2026 Ivy League Championship at DeNunzio Pool on Thursday tied for fourth place with 305 points. Day two was highlighted by Marton Nagy breaking a pool record in the 200 IM finals and Rowland Lawver securing second place in the 1-meter dive.
During the morning session, Nagy secured his spot in the finals, topping the 200 IM prelims. Will Cicco placed seventh (500 free) in the prelims to advance to the evening A finals. In the finals, Nagy placed second (1:42.26), and Cicco placed seventh (4:19.02).
The team finished off day two with the 200-yard freestyle relay team, consisting of Nagy, Christopher Zhang, Jonathan Gim, and Donavan Jeng, taking sixth with a time of 1:19.19.
In the 1-meter diving prelims, Lawver placed third and Matteo Vasiliadis placed fourth. In the finals, Lawver finished second and Vasiliadis placed sixth.
Day three of the Ivy League Championship will feature the 100-yard, butterfly, breaststroke, and backstroke events as well as the 200 free and 400 IM. The 3-meter diving competition will also take place on Friday at 1:30 p.m. Prelims will begin at 11 a.m. and finals at 6 p.m.
