Women's Swimming and Diving Visits Cornell for Two-Day Dual

ITHACA, N.Y. - Brown women's swimming and diving (4-3, 2-3 Ivy) visit Teagle Pool to take on Cornell (2-5, 1-5 Ivy) in a two-day dual. Divers will compete first on Friday, Jan 30 at 5 p.m., with swimmers beginning on Saturday, Jan 31 at 10 a.m.Â
SCOUTING THE BEARS
- During their last meet on Jan 17, the Bears dominated Columbia, collecting 15 victories (one in each event), leading to a 244-54 victory. It was Brown's second consecutive win after the Bears defeated Bryant on Dec 6.
- Brown has earned 52 event victories this season, including four program records. Natalie Garre broke the 500 free, 1000 free, and 1650 free marks, while Isabella Dieffenthaller broke the record in the 200 free.Â
- Morgan Lukinac has eight individual event victories this season across the 50 free and 100 free.
- Garre has five total wins, as does Crystal Yuen, including three in the 500 free.Â
- Angelina Chen has won the 100-meter breaststroke four times.Â
- Elena Yeh has won the 1-meter dive twice and the 3-meter dive twice this season.
- Isabella George won the 3-meter dive twice this season (Yale, Penn).
- Dieffenthaller won the 100 freestyle at Harvard and the 200 freestyle twice (Yale, Columbia)
- Nadia Thomas has individual wins as well.Â
- Lizzy Washburn, Kelly Dolce, Kaitlyn Holmes, Sumner Chmielewski, Audrey Chung, Eva McIver-Jenkins, Amie Barrow, and Lilian Klinginsmith all have individual victories as well.Â
SCOUTING THE BIG RED
- Cornell is 2-5 overall with a 1-5 Ivy recordÂ
- The team placed second out of seven in the Zippy Invite, scoring 1702 points overall
- The Big Red have wins over St. Bonaventure (147-96) and Columbia (197-103).
