Men’s Swimming & Diving Travels to Cornell for Last Ivy League Regular Season Meet

ITHACA, N.Y. – The Brown men's swimming & diving team (2-5, 1-5 Ivy) will visit Teagle Pool to take on Cornell (3-4, 2-4 Ivy) in its final Ivy League regular season meet on January 30-31. Divers will compete on Friday at 5 p.m., and swimmers will begin on Saturday at 2 p.m.

SCOUTING THE BEARS
- The Bears are coming off a Senior Day setback to Columbia (157-143).
- During the dual, Rowland Lawver earned a victory in the 1-meter and 3-meter dives, and now has 12 individual victories heading into the weekend, six in each diving event.
- This season, Brown has 45 event wins.
- Marton Nagy holds 10 victories across the 100 backstroke, 200 backstroke, 200 IM, and 400 IM.
- Rory O'Connor has four total wins in his first year at Brown, three in the 500 free and one in the 1650 free, including the program record in the 500 free, set at the Bucknell Invite in November.
- Last season, Brown fell to Cornell, 152-148, at home. The Bears have won four of their last six matches against the Big Red.
SCOUTING THE BIG RED
- The Big Red are currently 3-4 this season with victories over Dartmouth and Penn.
- Cornell placed fifth at the Ivy League Championships last season, hosted by Brown.
- Last weekend, Columbia defeated the Big Red, 203-97.
- Pietro Ubertalli, Josh Toothman, Gabe Anagnoson, and Haihan Xu have each earned several top-three finishes for Cornell this season.
