Seguin Named No. 1 Men's Rowing Coxswain by For Stars Network
9/3/2025 11:45:00 AM | Men's Crew
PROVIDENCE, R.I. - On August 25, For Stars Network released their list of the top coxswains in men's Division I college rowing, with Brown's own Elenna Seguin taking the top spot in the nation at her position. Seguin, who coxed the Varsity 8 crew to a fifth place finish in the Grand Final at last year's IRA Championship, is coming off a season where she was recognized as an Empacher-IRCA Scholar-Athlete for her performance with one of the best crews in the country.Â
This honor comes during an offseason that has seen Elenna's star rise on the international stage as well, having coxed the United States eight to a fifth place finish at the 2025 U23 World Championships in PoznaÅ„, Poland. As a rising junior, the Bears will rely on Seguin to help guide a V8 crew that is losing standout contributors Enno Mönch and Oliver Page-Kuhr. With the fall portion of their schedule creeping closer, Brown will look to build on yet another successful season and maintain their position as one of the nation's elite.  Â
FSN's list in its entirety is as follows:
1. Elenna Seguin, Brown
2. Adam Casler, Princeton (LWT)
3. Kannan Alford, Stanford
4. Aden Walsey, Cornell (LWT)
5. Emily Slawin, Boston U
6. Jake Bazulto, California
7. Charlie Ramquist, Wisconsin
8. Sofie Cole, Cornell (HWT)
9. Kevin Greed, Holy Cross
10. Luke Joseph, Drexel
