NEW HAVEN, Conn. - The Brown women's tennis team earned two doubles and one singles win on the last day of the Bulldog Invitational against Yale, Quinnipiac, and Rutgers University.
Â
Building on the team's solid performance, Anne Moody and Francesca Saroli posted a 6-3 win over Quinnipiac's Caitlin Flower and Lily Black at the third line. Continuing the momentum, first-year pairing Abigail Lee and Chloe Qin secured their 6-4 match victory at the fourth line against Rutgers' Miranda Case and Stella Schmitz.
In singles action, Abigail Lee notched her first collegiate singles tournament win at the seventh line against Rutgers' Savannah Cohen. Additionally, Hannah Shen also secured a set victory at the fourth line.
Â
"We competed hard today against high-quality opponents," said Broadbent Family Head Coach Lucie Schmidhauser. "Even though a lot of matches didn't go our way results-wise, I felt that our level of competitiveness went up another notch today. I look forward to having a good week of practice before we compete again at Dartmouth."
