Women's Tennis Claims Three Wins on Day Two of Bulldog Invite
9/20/2025 7:01:00 PM | Women's Tennis
NEW HAVEN, Conn.- The Brown women's tennis team continued tournament play at the Bulldog Invitational with two doubles and one singles win against Rutgers University.
On the first line, Dani Ben-Abraham and Sari Woo posted a 7-5 win over Rutgers' Karina Jumazhanova and Naomi Karki. Hannah Shen and freshman Chloe Qin secured a 6-4 victory on the fourth line over Rutgers' Miranda Case and Cindy Zhou, earning Qin's first doubles win in her college career.
Francesca Saroli notched her first collegiate tournament win on the eighth line, playing three sets with the last one being a tiebreaker. Anne Yang and Abigail Lee picked up set wins in their singles matches.
"In most matches, we competed much better today against Rutgers players than in yesterday's match," said Broadbent Family Head Coach Lucie Schmidhauser. "Each match is an opportunity to challenge oneself to become a better competitor, and our players were much more willing to make themselves uncomfortable and fight for every point, no matter the score."
