
Men’s Tennis Earns Six Victories at Day One of the Dartmouth Invitational

HANOVER, N.H. - The Brown men's tennis team won six out of eight matches to open its fall 2025 season at the Dartmouth Invitational on Friday afternoon.
All four freshmen for Brown picked up their first collegiate victories.
In singles action, Cole Oberg picked up his first collegiate win after defeating Andrew Kelly from Bryant in two sets (6-2, 6-1) while Lukas Phimvongsa defeated Kornel Halmos of Dartmouth in a tie breaker (7-6(4), 6-4).
Zander Bravo continued the winning ways for Brown when he earned a 6-0, 6-0 win over Myles Peterson from Bryant. Robert Yang picked up his first collegiate victory as he defeated Calvin Wang from Dartmouth in three sets (4-6, 6-3, 10-8).
Elliot Wasserman also earned his first collegiate win as he defeated Manveer Boparai from Bryant in three sets (6-3, 2-6, 12-10). Theo Murphy defeated Alexander Di Staulo from Fairfield in two sets (6-3, 6-2) for his first win with the Bears. Noah Hernandez and James Lian both suffered defeats in their singles contests. 
Brown will return to action on Saturday, Sept. 13, for day two of the Dartmouth Invitational.
