PROVIDENCE, R.I. - Earlier this morning, the 2025-26 Brown wrestling schedule was released on the team's official website. The Bears will compete in several tournaments throughout the country and have a noticeable increase in home meets, going from two last season to five this year.
The season kicks off when Bruno travels to New Jersey to compete in the Princeton Open on Nov. 2 at 8 a.m. Alex Semenenko was a standout performer at last year's event, compiling a 4-1 overall record on the day. The Bears then head home for their first meet of the season at the Pizzitola Sports Center, as they square off against Davidson on Nov. 15 at 11 a.m. Last season saw the Bears dominate the Wildcats by a final score of 41-3 at the Davidson Duals.
On Nov. 16 at 8 a.m., Brown travels to West Point to compete in the Army Invitational. A week later on Nov. 23 at 8 a.m., the Bears will make the trip up to Ithaca, N.Y. to wrestle in the Big Red Invitational. Cornell hosts the event, giving many of the wrestlers on Brown's roster a chance early in the season to compete against the top program in the Ivy League and one of the top programs in the NCAA.
On Dec. 5 at a time to be announced later, Bruno will wrestle against LIU and Nebraska in St. Charles, Missouri at the Uncivil War. The matchup with Nebraska represents the only officially schedule matches against a Big Ten opponent for the Bears this season. A few days later on Dec. 7 at 8 a.m., Brown will compete in the Cougar Clash Open in Carbondale, Illinois.
To kick off the 2026 portion of the team's schedule, the Bears will return to the Southern Scuffle in Chattanooga, Tennessee from Jan. 3-4 at 8 a.m. Michael Joyce, Joey Iamunno, Drew Clearie, and Andrew Reall were some of the wrestlers who picked up multiple wins at last year's event and will be returning to the program this winter.
The Bears will prepare for another chance to take on Davidson, among other programs, at the Davidson Duals in North Carolina from Jan. 16-17 with a time to be announced later. Jacob Joyce, Andrew Reall, and Alex Semenenko all scored two victories at last year's Davidson Duals. Bruno will get another chance to compete against Cornell when they head back to Ithaca to take on the Big Red on Jan. 25 at 1 p.m. and travel to Vestal, New York later on Jan. 25 to face Binghamton at 3 p.m.
To close out the month on Jan. 31 at 12 p.m., Brown will come back home for an Ivy League clash against the Penn Quakers. On Feb. 1 at 2 p.m., the Bears will host the Princeton Tigers in Providence before a two week break in-between meets. Brown will make their fourth trip of the season to New York on Feb. 15 to compete against Columbia at 1 p.m. and Hofstra at 6 p.m.
In the final two dual meets of the regular season, the Bears will host Sacred Heart on Feb. 21 at 1 p.m. and Harvard on Feb. 22 at 1 p.m. at the Pizzitola Sports Center in Providence. Brown's only Ivy League dual victory last season came against the Harvard Crimson by a final score of 36-6.
Postseason competition will commence when the Ivy League Tournament starts on Mar. 8 in New York, New York, with the NCAA Tournament scheduled to take place between Mar. 19-21 at a time to be announced later.
