
Men's Soccer Announces David Hughes as New Operations Coordinator

PROVIDENCE, R.I.-Â Friends of Brown Men's Soccer Head Coaching Chair Chase Wileman has introduced David Hughes as the Bears' new operations coordinator.
"We are thrilled to welcome David to College Hill." Wileman said. "His prior four years of experience at the top of our sport and his strong collegiate background, combined with his exceptional work ethic and attention to detail make him an excellent addition to our staff. He will serve as a great mentor for our student-athletes."
Hughes comes to Brown after spending the last three years on staff with the New England Revolution as their First Team Video Anaylst. During his tenure he filmed First Team and goalkeeper training, organized video clips for team and individual player presentations, created potential transfer target videos for the Director of Scouting and Player Personnel, and assisted coaching staff with opposition scouting analysis.Â
Prior to his time with the Revolution, Hughes served as the Video Analyst and Assistant Goalkeeping Coach for the Hartford Athletic. There, he recorded training and live coded home games, assisted the First Team Assistant with analysis and opposition scouting presentations, and assisted in all coordination of goalkeeping operations.
Hughes also spent a year and a half with the Scorpions SC, where he served as the head coach of the 2008 ECNL Regional Girls Team, and held an assistant goalkeeping coach and team administrator role within the United Women's Soccer League.Â
Previously Hughes was the Director of Technical Analysis for Providence College women's soccer, and the assistant goalkeeping coach for Watertown High School boy's soccer.Â
A native of Sharon, Mass., Hughes graduated from Marist in 2017 with degrees in Sports Communication and Marketing. He earned his MBA in International Business from Providence College in 2020. Â
