Swimming & Diving Names Colin Zeng as Diving Coach

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Brown swimming and diving has announced the hiring of Colin Zeng as the program's new Diving Coach.
Zeng joins the Bears having spent the last four seasons on the coaching staff at the University of Tennessee with the last two seasons as the Assistant Diving Coach.
"We're thrilled to welcome Colin to Brown Swimming & Diving," said Kate Kovenock, Mary Ann Lippitt Head Coaching Chair in Women's Swimming and Diving. "His experience as a coach and also his time as a top student-athlete made him the ideal person to step in and take the reins of diving at Brown University."
"We could not be more excited about the addition of Colin to the Brown Swimming & Diving program," said Kevin Norman, Ollie '50 and Kay Patrell Head Coaching Chair in Men's Swimming and Diving. "He has competed and coached at the highest levels in diving and his experience as an elite diver in the NCAA, time coaching in the SEC and his academic background in sports sciences will put our diving program on an exciting trajectory."
Zeng was a three-time NCAA National Champion in 2016, 2018 and 2019 as well as a 10-time NCAA All-American from 2015-19. In 2018 and 2019, he was named the CSCAA Diver of the Year. In SEC competition, Zeng won the three-meter and platform competition in 2019 and was named the Diver of the Championships in 2019. He was the SEC Diver of the Year in 2018 and 2019.
Zeng got his coaching career started as the Diving Coach at Colorado Mesa University, leading the team to the most diving points at the 2021 NCAA DII Championships.
Zeng graduated from Tennessee with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and holds Master degrees in both Kinesiology and Sport Management from Tennessee.
