Women’s Soccer Picked Second in Ivy League Preseason Poll

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The Brown women's soccer team has been picked to finish second in the Ivy League Preseason Poll, the league announced on Monday.
The Bears received six first-place votes and 105 points overall. They trailed only Princeton, which received nine first-place votes and 118 points. The only other team that received a first-place vote was Harvard, which received one.
The Bears fell just short in the Ivy League Tournament last season, losing to Princeton in the final, but seem built to contend once again this year.
Their season begins on August 22 against the University of New Haven. They'll begin conference play on September 21 against Yale.
