Women's Water Polo Begins Weekend with Win Over Saint Francis

ANN ARBOR, Mich. – Brown women's water polo (15-12, 6-4 CWPA) started its weekend with a 14-5 win over Saint Francis (12-14, 2-8 CWPA) at the University of Michigan on Saturday (April 5).
Ava Schoening led Brown with four goals and added two assists. Aubrie Anderson collected three goals for Brown, while Madeleine Poissonnier and Ella Palmer each had two. Gaby Montalvo, Samantha Kim and Sofia Holman all scored once.
Roxanne Hazuka finished the game with 10 saves and Somto Okafo played one quarter and picked up two saves.
Four different Bears scored in the first quarter as Brown led 4-1 after the first eight minutes. The Bears pushed their lead to 7-1 midway through the second and led 9-2 at the break.
Schoening and Anderson each scored to start the third quarter as the Bears pulled away, making it 11-2.
Three early fourth quarter goals put Brown up 10 at 14-4.
UP NEXT
Brown will close the regular season with games against Bucknell (9 a.m.) and Michigan (12 p.m.) on Sunday.
