PROVIDENCE, RI — Brown Women's Water Polo suffered two losses at home on Saturday, falling to No. 8 Harvard 15-9, and No. 21 Marist 12-10.
BROWN v. HARVARD [L, 9-15]
Hanna Tidrenzcel led the Bears in scoring across their first matchup of the day. She netted her first of three total goals in the first quarter alongside one apiece from Madeleine Poissonnier and Claire Poissonnier. Tidrenzcel struck again in the second and Ava Schoening picked up her first to trail Harvard 7-5 at the half.
Tidrenzcel and Schoening each found the net one more time in quarter three, followed by two more courtesy of C. Poissonnier and Ella Palmer in the final quarter. Despite strong efforts, the Bears were ultimately outscored by the Crimson, who won by six.
BROWN v. No. 21 MARIST [L, 10-12]
The matchup against Marist got off to a bit of a rocky start, with Brown netting zero goals to Marist's three across the first quarter. A goal apiece from Sofia Holman and Claire Poissonnier and two from Ella Palmer helped turn things around in second, and the score was tied at 4-4 heading into the half.
Hanna Tidrenzcel was the only Bear to find the net in the third, leaving Brown to trail by four heading into fourth. The Bears found the net five times in the fourth – goals from Aubrie Anderson, Alexandra Love, Ava Schoening, Samantha Kim, and Sofia Holman made for an exciting final period of gameplay, but were not enough to tip the final score in Brown's favor.

The Bears have a bit of a break between now and March 23rd, when they are scheduled to travel to Los Angeles, California to take on the USC Trojans.
