Men’s Tennis Ties All-Time Home Wins Record With Wins Over Le Moyne and Stonehill

PROVIDENCE, R.I. - The Brown men's tennis team (18-6, 0-1) swept Le Moyne (5-9) and Stonehill (6-9) on Sunday to improve to 16-0 at the Pizzitola Sports Center this season, tying the most wins at home in a single season.
Brown picked up 16 home wins during the 2006 season. Additionally, its 18 wins this season is the most since the 2004-05 season. The Bears also concluded non-conference action with an 18-5 mark.
In their first match of the day against Le Moyne, the Bears' No. 2 pairing of Alex Finkelstein and Zander Bravo claimed a victory. Brown's No. 3 pairing of Sam Feldman and James Lian also picked up the win. In singles action, Oliver Worth and Noah Hernandez won in straight sets while Lukas Phimvongsa secured the 4-0 sweep in a three set victory.
Against Stonehill, Brown won the doubles point as the pairings of Noah Hernandez and Lukas Phimvongsa picked up a 6-0 win. The pairing James Lian and Sam Feldman also earned a 6-0 win. In singles, Hernandez, Lian, and Toby Luo each won in straight sets on the way to the Bears' second sweep of the day.
Next weekend, Brown will continue Ivy League play when they travel to Columbia on Saturday, Apr. 5 before traveling to Cornell on Sunday, Apr. 6.
