PROVIDENCE, R.I. - The Bears women's crew team kicks off the spring portion of their schedule with a race against the Princeton Tigers on Mar. 29.Â
The Tigers finished in fourth place at last years NCAA Championships and return a handful of highly talented rowers to this year's team. Katherine George and Margot LeRoux were both named CRCAÂ First Team All-Americans, while Sara Covin and Katharine Kalap were named CRCA Second Team All-Americans. George was also named a finalist for CRCA Athlete of the Year. All four athletes return to Princeton for their senior seasons. Ella Barry also returns for her senior campaign after being named a CRCA Scholar Athlete for the 2023-24 season.
The head coach for the Tigers is Lori Dauphiny, who enters her twenty-seventh season with the program. Dauphiny has put together an incredible resume, collecting two National Coach of the Year trophies as she has turned Princeton into one of the premier teams in the nation. She has led the Tigers to two V8+ NCAA Championships (2006 & 2011) and a whopping 12 Ivy League Championships since her first season in 1997. In 2019, she was inducted into the CRCA Hall of Fame.Â
