3/29/2025 6:12:00 PM | Women's Crew
PRINCETON, N.J. - The Brown women's crew team, who entered the day ranked as the seventh best team in the country according to CRCA Pocock polling, finished their first race of the 2025 spring schedule after facing off against Ivy League rival and fourth ranked Princeton on Saturday morning (Mar. 29).Â
"It was solid competitive racing all around and we are grateful to get to kick off the season against a fast program," said Loyalty Chair for Women's Crew Head Coach Tessa Gobbo-Zimmerman '13.Â
The Bears were able to pick up a win in the Varsity Four race, finishing with a time of 7:08.6. The A4 is stroked by Calissa Snyder Cox and coxed by Brooke Halvorsen.Â
The V8 (6:15.7), 3V8 (6:41.1) and B4 (7:22.5) also found themselves in competitive races on Saturday morning, with the V8 finishing three seconds behind Princeton, the 3V8 finishing less than four seconds behind, and the B4 missing the top spot by only two seconds. Â
The Bears next regatta will take place on Apr. 5 as they head back to Lake Carnegie, only this time taking on another Ivy League foe in the Penn Quakers.Â
