Men’s Tennis Defeats Bryant 7-0 for Seventh Consecutive Win

PROVIDENCE, R.I. - The Brown men's tennis team (16-5) picked up a 7-0 win over Bryant (8-7, 1-2) for its seventh consecutive victory on Wednesday evening at the Pizzitola Sports Center.
Brown's 16-5 record is the best start to a season since the 2011-12 season, the Bears are also 14-0 at home. Brown is two home victories away from tying a program record of 16 home victories that came during the 2006 season.
In doubles play, Alex Finkelstein and Zander Bravo set the tone with a 6-3 victory at the No. 2 spot, while James Lian and Sam Feldman sealed the point with a 7-5 win at No. 3 doubles to secure the doubles point.
In singles, Noah Hernandez, Lukas Phimvongsa, and James Lian earned victories while winning 36 out of 46 sets. Alex Finklestein and Oliver Worth picked up singles victories as Toby Luo rounded out the Bears with a straight set victory to complete the sweep.
The Bears will look to add to their historic start as they travel to Yale on Saturday, Mar. 29 to open up Ivy League play against Yale.
