Davis Qualifies for NCAA Regionals

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Brown senior gymnast Maya Davis has qualified for NCAA Regionals on floor. The honor comes following a sensational season for the Brooklyn, New York native that saw her capture both the Ivy League and Gymnastics East Conference floor titles.
Davis will compete in the Utah Regional in Salt Lake City on Thursday, April 3 and will rotate with the University of Denver. With Denver starting the meet on bars, Davis's turn will come at the end of the third rotation. She joins Penn's Skye Kerico (all-around) and Mimi Fletcher (beam) as the only three gymnasts from the GEC to qualify for regionals.
Davis qualifies for regionals after posting a National Qualifying Score (NQS) of 9.865, which ranks No. 1 in the GEC and 110th overall in the nation. This season, she has saved her best performances for the brightest spotlights, twice tying her career-high of 9.900 at the Ivy Classic and the GEC Championships, taking home the conference titles in both meets. Overall, she has matched her career-high four times, all of which have occurred in championship meets (GECs, Ivies, or USAG Nationals). She is one of just nine gymnasts in program history to score a 9.900 or greater.
Last week, she was voted the GEC Specialist of the Year, and is a three-time USAG All-American, a five-time All-GEC honoree on floor, and a three-time All-Ivy Classic honoree. In 2025, she led the team with seven individual victories, including four on floor and three on bars.
