DANBURY, Conn. – Junior Ryan St. Louis has been named the ECAC Hockey Forward of the Week, presented by Bluebird Hotels, following his two-goal and three-point performance in Brown's 3-2 ECAC Opening Round win over Princeton on Friday.
It marks the second Forward of the Week honor for St. Louis this season. He earned the weekly recognition after a four-point weekend in late January.
Against Princeton, St. Louis scored Brown's first goal and assisted on Tyler Kopff's go-ahead goal in the third period. St. Louis added the empty-net tally, the eventual game-winner, to make it 3-1 in the final minute.
St. Louis leads the Bears with 28 points this season in just 21 games and ranks second on the team in both goals (11) and assists (17). He ranks 12th in the ECAC in total points and his 1.33 points per game leads the ECAC.
The Old Greenwich, Connecticut native has 10 multi-point games this season, including consecutive three-point games. The Bears are 8-1-1 when he records two or more points.
Brown heads to Hamden, Connecticut to take on the top-seeded and 13th-ranked Quinnipiac Bobcats (22-10-2, 16-5-1 ECAC) in the ECAC Quarterfinal series. Game one of the series is set for 7 p.m. on Friday with game two scheduled for 4 p.m. on Saturday.
