PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Brown women's hockey's Monique Lyons was selected to the ECAC All-Rookie Team after a stellar first year for the Bears.
Lyons led the Bears with 14 goals, 24 points and four game-winning goals. Her 24 points are tied for the second-most points by a Bear since 2007-08 and are the most by a Bear freshman since 2006-07. Lyons 14 goals put her in the top-ten in goal scoring in the ECAC for the regular season.
The Bedford, Mass., native tallied overtime game-winners against Quinnipiac and at St. Lawrence. The game-winner at St. Lawrence was part of her first-career hat trick.
Lyons finished the season with four multi-goal games and seven multi-point games as she tallied 10 assists on the year.
Lyons is the third Bear to make the ECAC All-Rookie Team in under head coach Melanie Ruzzi, joining former goaltender Kaley Doyle (2021-22) and current Bear Jade Iginla (2022-23).
