Men’s Basketball Falls at Princeton

PRINCETON, N.J. - The Brown men's basketball team (10-9, 2-4) suffered a 69-49 loss at Princeton (15-6, 4-2) on Saturday evening.
Princeton outscored Brown 14-4 in the paint in the opening 20 minutes, overall the Tigers shot 15-28 from the floor and 7-15 from three-point range. Brown shot 8-24 from the floor in the opening half and 5-14 from three-point range.
Kino Lilly Jr., Lyndel Erold, and Aaron Cooley combined for 21 of Brown's 23 first half points, Lilly Jr. and Erold scored eight opening half points each. Lilly Jr. shot 2-3 from distance to go along with three first half rebounds.
Trailing 37-23 at halftime, Brown opened the second half on a 10-0 run to cut the Princeton lead to 37-33 with 17:15 remaining in the second half. Brown's run featured two three-pointers from Kino Lilly Jr. and two baskets by Aaron Cooley.
Four points was the closest Brown would get to Princeton, as the Tigers outscored the Bears 32-13 for the remainder of regulation.
Kino Lilly Jr. finished with a game-high 18 points on 4-8 shooting from three-point range, Lyndel Erold and Aaron Cooley joined Lilly Jr. as the other double-digit scorers for the Bears. Along with 10 points, Cooley also grabbed a team-high eight rebounds.
Brown will be back in action on Saturday, Feb. 8 when they travel to New York, N.Y. to take on Columbia, tip-off is scheduled for 2:00 p.m.
