Wertheim Represents Australia, Demopoulos Represents Greece on International Stage

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Two Bears, senior Marcus Wertheim and Andy Demopoulos '25, recently competed in international competition for their respective nations. Wertheim helped Australia finish fourth at the World Lacrosse Super Sixes Championship in Ontario, and Demopoulos competed with Greece in the EuroLax Sixes.
Wertheim led Australia to a fourth-place finish at the tournament, ultimately falling in a 14-13 nailbiter to The Haudenosaunee. The Bear tallied five goals in the bronze medal game and ultimately led the tournament with 30 points behind 25 goals and five assists.
The senior tallied five hat tricks in six games, including a seven-goal and 10-point effort in Australia's 21-16 win over Poland in group play.
Demopoulos competed with Greece at the third annual EuroLax Sixes in Thessaloniki, Greece.
