PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The Brown football team is set to hit the road this Saturday for an Ivy League matchup at Cornell. Kickoff is set for 1 p.m. on ESPN+.

OPENING KICKOFF
- Brown will aim to get back on track after a 40-21 loss to Princeton last weekend, which snapped a two-game winning streak. Cornell is coming off its first win of the year, a 30-20 home triumph over Bucknell.
- Four of the last five games between the two schools have been decided by four points or less.
- Brown is looking to win four of its first six games for the first time since 2015.
- The Bears lead the Ivy League with 13.0 sacks and six fumble recoveries through the first five games.
- Brown is 16th in the FCS with 2.60 sacks per game.
CHILDS BACK-TO-BACK
- Matt Childs has set career-highs in rushing yards each of the last two games with 92 against Bryant and 94 vs. Princeton.
- Childs has rushed for two touchdowns in each of the last three games.
- He ranks third in the Ivy League with six rushing touchdowns this season and is tied for second in scoring with 42 points.
TURNOVERS TELLING THE TALE
- Brown has lost both games this season when it has turned the ball over more than its opponent and won all three games where it has won the turnover battle.
- Brown's turnover margin of +0.6 is third-best in the Ivy League.
- As a result, Brown has averaged 396.0 yards of total offense in its three wins and 262.5 in its two losses.
SPREADING THE BALL AROUND
- Fourteen different players caught a pass for Brown against Princeton on Oct. 18.
- Over the last 45 games since the start of the 2021 season, Brown has had 23 games where at least 10 different players have caught at least one pass.
- 2025: 2 games; 2024: 5 games; 2023: 5 games; 2022: 8 games; 2021: 3 games.
PROTECTING THE FOOTBALL
- Brown's offense has not lost a fumble all season. The Bears' only lost fumble this season came on a muffed punt against Princeton.
- Brown is tied for fourth in FCS and tied for first in the Ivy League with one lost fumble.
- The Bears lead the league with seven forced fumbles and six fumble recoveries.
EYES ON THE PASS RUSH
- Entering this weekend, Brown leads the Ivy League and ranks 16th nationally in FCS with 13.0 sacks through five games.
- A significant uptick from previous years, Brown finished 2024 with 16.0 team sacks.
QUELLING THE BIG PLAYS
- Brown had allowed a touchdown of 43 yards or greater in 14 of the 20 games across the 2023 and 2024 seasons.
- So far in 2025, Brown has allowed only one such score through the first five games, which came on a 44-yard pass against Harvard.
