PROVIDENCE, R.I. - The Brown sailing teams continued their fall seasons last weekend, finishing fifth in the Open Atlantic Coast Championship and posting top-five finishes in four additional events.
The open sailing team had a strong performance in the Open Atlantic Coast Championship at the U.S. Naval Academy in Annapolis, Md. This competition is the premiere dinghy event of the fall season. The Bears finished third out of five teams at the Norman Reid Team Race at Boston College on Saturday with a 6-6 record, and third at the Lane Trophy Team Race at Tufts on Sunday out of six teams with a 7-3 record.
The women's team competed at the Yale Women's Interconference, finishing a close fourth place overall in the 18-team event, featuring the top women's teams in college sailing.
