PROVIDENCE, RI - Blake Saito (157) has started the 2025 portion of the Brown wrestling schedule by becoming the first member of the team to win Ivy League Wrestler of the Week for the 2024-25 season.
Saito, who swept the competition at the Southern Scuffle in Chattanooga, Tennessee, won his weight bracket by defeating Max Petersen of North Dakota State in the championship match on Sunday, January 5.
The senior will look to continue building on his strong start to the season when the Bears travel to North Carolina for the Davidson Duals on January 17. Brown is slated to compete against Lock Haven (10 am), Little Rock (10 am), and Davidson (4:30 pm).
"Blake has put together a strong start to his senior campaign. We are happy for him to receive this recognition," said Head Coach Jordan Leen.
