
Clare Gagne ‘24 Signs Professional Contract With Kansas City Current

PROVIDENCE, R.I. - Former Brown women's soccer goalkeeper Clare Gagne '24 has signed her first professional contact with the Kansas City Current of the National Women's Soccer League (NWSL).
A three-time Ivy League champion, Gagne made 28 appearances and 22 starts as a Bear. Clare posted a 0.68 goals against average at Brown to go along with a 15-4-3 overall record. As a senior during the 2023 season, Gagne posted six shutouts while helping Brown claim its unprecedented fourth consecutive Ivy League title.
Gagne stopped 56 shots in three seasons with the Bears, she was also selected to play in the NEWISA Senior Bowl following the 2023 campaign.
Gagne spent the 2024 season at the University of North Carolina, she helped the Tar Heels capture the 2024 national championship while being named the 2024 NCAA College Cup Most Outstanding Defensive Player.
She conceded only one goal during the NCAA Tournament, highlighted by back-to-back shutouts in the College Cup. In addition to her College Cup Defensive MVP honor, Gagne was also named to the NCAA All-Tournament Team and TopDrawerSoccer Best XI Second Team.
