Track and Field Competes at Multiple Events

BOSTON, Mass., and PHILADELPHIA, Pa. – The Bears Track and Field team competed at two events this weekend including the Penn 10 Elite and Riverhawk Invitational.
MEN
RIVERHAWK INVITATIONAL
Three Bears competed in the men's events at the Riverhawk Invitational including Henry Wood, Justin Hickey, Luke Bodden and Jason Markopoulos.
Wood finished 27th in the 1000 meter race with a time of 2:35.54.
Hickey finished 11th in the 3000 meter race with a time of 8:33.14. Bodden (34th/8:46.53)) and Markopoulos (45th/8:54.36) also competed in the 3000 meter race.
PENN 10 ELITE
Junior Elias Archie finished eighth in the 60 meter dash with a time of 6.88. Solomon Miller (7.07) and Daniel Sarisky (7.19) also competed, but did not reach the final.
In the men's 200 meter race, four Bears competed including Trevor Wilder (5th/21.49), Jason Estrada (20th/22.19), Daniel Sarisky (24th/22.33) and Elias Archie (28th/22.60).
In the 400 meter race Trevor Wilder finished 17th with a time of 48.93. Jason Estrada (24th/49.6) and John Mueller (31st/50.6) also competed.
Nicholas Strayer placed 32nd in the men's mile race with a time of 4:19.62.
The men's 3000 meter race consisted of five Brown Bears competitors. Sebastian Margetts was fastest of the bunch with a 13th place finish and a time of 8:15.6. John Ryan (20th/8:30.13), Colin Fisher (21st/8:31.68), Tommy Gaffey (23rd/8:38.32) and John Farrell (25th/8:47.43).
Gabriel Thai (20th/9.05) and John Mueller (21st/9.06) competed in the 60 meter hurdles, but neither qualified for the finals.
Link Lignell finished 16th in the pole vault with a mark of 4.27 meters.
Junior Frank Monahan-Morang was fifth in the men's long jump with a mark of 7.25 meters. Adeposi Aderogba was sixth with a mark of 7.20 meters.
Joseph Oduro was third in the triple jump with a mark of 14.99 meters.
Sophomore Karon Johnson finished 12th in the shot put with a mark of 15.43 meters.
The weight throw included sophomore Keith Daigneau who finished eighth with a mark of 19.62 meters. Ethan Wordell (15th/15.88m) and James Chafouleas (13.63m) also competed.
WOMEN
RIVERHAWK INVITATIONAL
Junior Jenna Lowrey competed in two events for the Bears. She earned 37th in the 200 meter open race with a time of 26.50. Lowrey also finished 18th in the 400 meter dash with a time of 58.96.
Tanisha Patil was sixth in the 500 meter race with a time of 1:16.75.
Juli Gonzalez (9th/2:57.18) and Nina Kruzewska (11th/2:57.73) competed in the women's 1000 meter race.
The women's mile run featured two Bears including Julia Schriefer (9th/4:57.05) and Julia Soderbery (42nd/5:16.99).
First-year Sarah Paul finished 19th in the 3000 meter race with a time of 10:21.55 and Olivia Bergin finished 33rd with a time of 10:42.74.
The women's 5000 meter race consisted of Maxine Montoya (3rd/17:10.97), Sara Perez (12th/18:27.58) and Caroline McCool (16th/18:36.63).
Amiya Hopkins finished 22nd in the women's shot put with a mark of 11.25 meters.
Giana DeCesare was 18th in the weight throw with a mark of 14.69 meters. Sophia Gallucci finished 22nd with a mark of 14.09 meters.
PENN 10 ELITE
Alyssa Jackson competed in the 60 meter dash, missing the finals narrowly by finishing ninth with a time of 7.72.
In the 200 meter race, Jackson was 14th with a time of 25.13, while Anna Pollak was 27th with a time of 26.08.
The women's 400 meter race included 5 Bears competitors. Kate Scanlan was seventh with a time of 56.41. Maddelynn Brooks (16th/57.53), Elle Riley (19th/57.63), Anna Pollak (28th/59.45) and Kareema McKenzie (31st/59.56) were the other finishers.
Lillian Kaelber was 12th in the 800 meter race with a time of 2:15.43.
In the women's mile race, Scarlet Stimson was 17th with a time of 4:57.98. Olivia Fraga (19th/4:58.53) and Emily Mrakovcic (22nd/5:03.26) also competed.
In the 3000 meter race, Morgan Boonshaft finished fifth with a time of 9:37.56. Isolde McManus was eighth with a time of 9:44.08 and Nimrit Ahuja was 10th with a time of 9:51.57.
Elle Riley finished sixth in the 60 meter hurdles with a time of 8.68.
The Bears 4x400 relay team finished seventh with a time of 3:54.96. The team consisted of Kate Scanlan, Alyssa Jackson, Maddelynn Brooks and Elle Riley.
In the women's high jump, Nene Mokonchu was fourth with a mark of 1.66 meters. Rosie Volpintesta (12th/1.56m) and Maria Camposano (14th/1.56m) also competed.
The women's long jump featured Jada Joseph who finished second with a mark of 6.12 meters. Delaney Seligmann (4th/5.99m), Rachel Bibiu (10th/5.55m) and Simone Dunbar (20th/4.99m) were the other competitors.
The women's triple jump included Jada Joseph who finished third with a mark of 12 meters.
Michelyn Appiah was 13th in the shot put with a mark of 12.13 meters. Nicolette Ducharme was 14th with a mark of 11.41 meters, while Lydia Kentis was 15th with a mark of 11.15 meters.
Chidinma Agbasi was dominant in the weight throw finishing first with a mark of 18.85 meters. Zoe Carter-Konate (12th/16.41m), Jillian Leahy (13th/16.36m) and Michelyn Appiah (17th/15.58m) also competed.
