Women's Basketball Sweeps Ivy Weekly Honors

PRINCETON, N.J.-Â Brown women's basketball has swept the Ivy League weekly awards. Junior guard Grace Arnolie, and first-year forward Aima Ofunrein have been named player and rookie of the week respectively, as announced by the League on Monday.
Hailing from Vienna, Va., Arnolie posted a career-high 35 points against the Yale Bulldogs on Saturday afternoon. She surpassed her previous career-high of 27 points against Rhode Island on Nov. 23. Arnolie is now tied for sixth place in most points scored in a single game alongside Justine Gaziano, Vita Redding, and Donna Yaffe. The last time a Brown player posted 35 points in one game was against Bryant in 2018. Grace rounded out Saturday's contest going 13-14 in free throws, and assisting on seven baskets.
Arnolie has started in all 15 games this season, averaging 15.3 points per game. This ranks her sixth among Ivy League scorers. She posts a .815 free throw percentage after 15 games, going 44-54. Arnolie ranks third in the Ivy League in free throw percentage.Â

Originating from Round Rock, Texas, Ofunrein put up the third-most points on Brown against Yale with 14. She went 7-7 from the field, tying her career-high against Holy Cross on Nov. 13. Aima led the Bears in rebounding with six.Â
Ofunrein holds a .607 field goal percentage, placing her third in the Ivy League. After making appearances in all 15 games and starting in two, Aima averages 8.7 points per game.
The Bears will hit the road this weekend to take on the Harvard Crimson at Lavietes Pavilion. Tip-off is set for 2 p.m.
