PROMOTIONAL SCHEDULE
- WHITE OUT: All fans are encouraged to wear white
- Brown Football Alumni Day: Football alums will be welcomed back and the 1999 Ivy League championship team will be honored on-field for the 25th anniversary of the program's second Ivy title.
- Brown Band Centennial: Decades of band alums will return with a recognition of the centennial as part of their halftime performance.
OPENING KICKOFF
- Brown and Harvard are both coming off season-opening wins last weekend with Brown defeating Georgetown 26-14 and Harvard shutting out Stetson 35-0.
- Harvard is receiving votes in both the FCS Coaches' and Stats Perform FCS Polls this week.
SERIES HISTORY
- Harvard leads the all-time series 90-30-2.
- The last two seasons have seen the Crimson hold off Brown late in a pair of one-possession games, the only such games since 2014. Harvard rallied then held off Brown 34-31 last year in Boston, while Brown's late rally fell short in a 35-28 loss in Providence in 2022.
PUTTING ON THE PRESSURE
- Brown's defense compiled 4.0 sacks and 10 tackles-for-loss last week at Georgetown.
- It was the most sacks in a game since compiling 6.0 against Columbia on Nov. 18, 2017. Brown previously had 7.0 in the 2017 opener against Bryant.
- The 10.0 TFLs was just the second time since 2017 Brown had double-digit TFLs in a game (2023 vs. Princeton).
- Brown was the only Ivy team to force two fumbles in opening-weekend action.
- Caleb Moorhead had a career-high 3.0 TFLs.
JUMPING IN FRONT
- The Bears scored on their first play from scrimmage at Georgetown, an 87-yard pass from Jake Willcox to Solomon Miller, continuing a trend of scoring first.
- Brown was the only team in the Ivy League to score first in each of its first five games last season. Overall, Brown scored first in six games.
- Brown scored four times on its opening possession in 2023 (2 TDs, 2 FGs).
WHATDYA SAY EUTSAY!?
- Defensive lineman Quincy Eutsay recorded career-highs of 6.0 tackles, 2.5 TFLs, 2.0 sacks, forced a fumble, a pass breakup, and a QB hurry at Georgetown.
SECOND(ARY) TO NONE
- Brown compiled nine pass breakups in last week's opener at Georgetown.
- As a team, Brown finished with 13 interceptions last season, tied with Harvard for the most in the Ivy League.
- Isaiah Reed led the Ivy League with five interceptions in 2023, while graduated senior Aubrey Parker tied for third with three picks.
- Reed led the Ivy League in passes defended (13). Parker ranked tied for second with 10, while graduated senior Treyvon Hobbs tied for third with nine.
CLIMBING THE LADDER
- Jake Willcox (479) is just three completions shy of passing Patrick Donnelly (481) and moving into fifth place on the school's all-time career completions list.
- Willcox is also three TD passes shy of entering the top five all-time.
- Isaiah Reed is just five pass breakups away from tying for second place on the school's all-time career list.
- Georgetown scored a TD on a 77-yard pass last week.
- Opponents have scored a touchdown of 43 yards or greater in eight of the last 10 games.
- Brown's defense and special teams allowed 18 touchdowns in 2023 of 35 yards of greater, including six of 50+ yards.
ALTERNATING RESULTS
- Brown has alternated wins and losses over the last 12 games dating back to the season finale in 2022, never having won or lost consecutive games over that stretch.
- 2023 marked the first season in program history (minimum 5 games) where Brown did not win or lose consecutive games.
- Brown alternated wins and losses in 1886 (1-1) and alternated results during the 2-2 campaign of 1889.
