
Volleyball Heads to New Hampshire for Weekend Play

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Brown volleyball is on the road for its final weekend tournament of the season as the Bears will head to New Hampshire for the Holly Young Invitational.
Brown will begin the weekend taking on Central Connecticut State (10 a.m.) and UConn (4 p.m.) on Friday, before finishing play against New Hampshire at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday.

SCOUTING BROWN (2-4)
- The Bears are coming off a tough weekend where Brown dropped three matches in Chicago. In losses to Bowling Green and UIC, Brown dropped the first two sets before fighting back to force a fifth set, before falling the deciding frame.
- Mariia Sidorova leads Brown's offense with 3.46 kills per set and has reached double-figure kills in every match this season. Against Bowling Green Sidorova finished with a career-high 22 kills. Becoming the first Bear since Sophia Miller in 2022 to have 20 kills in a match.
- Ally Panzloff has reached double-figure kills in all six matches this season, the only Bear to have accomplished that feat.
- Jessie Golden has picked up double-figure digs in each game this season and has a streak of 37-straight games with at least 10 digs dating back to 2022.
- Ella Park is guiding Brown's offense with 8.08 assists per set and has two 40+ assist performances this season.
- Central Connecituct is 2-6 on the season having won its last two matches, with wins over Holy Cross and Saint Peter's
- Weronika Poczynek leads the team with 2.86 kills per set and Lauren Milani is second on the team at 2.71.
- Brown has won seven-straight games against CCSU and is 12-3 all-time against the Blue Devils.
- UConn is off to its best start in program history at 9-0 entering the weekend.
- Emma Wekmeister leads UConn with 4.06 kills per set, which is third in the Big East.
- The offense runs through Doga Kutlu, who is averaging 10.03 assists per set.
- Brown is 11-18 all-time against UConn but broke a 12-match losing streak last season with a 3-0 win over the Huskies.
- New Hampshire is coming into the weekend having lost its last two matches.
- Hannah Serbousek is tops on the team with 2.47 kills per set and Meredith Hohnbaum is second at 2.42
- The Bears are 10-8 all-time against New Hampshire but have lost the last four meetings against the Wildcats. The most recent meeting between the two teams was in 2019.
