Mark Waterman and Steven Tekesky Named Men’s Soccer Assistant Coaches

Mark Waterman previously served as the Associate Head Coach at Tufts University from 2020-2023. While at Tufts, he helped lead the Jumbos to the 2021 NESCAC title, and three NCAA Division III Tournament appearances, including the Elite Eight in 2021 and the Sweet 16 in 2023. Waterman also served as an assistant coach for Tufts during the 2015 and 2016 seasons. In 2016, Waterman and the coaching staff were selected as the NCAA DIII National Staff of the Year. During his break from Tufts, Waterman spent three seasons with Holy Cross and served as head coach of the ECNL Boston Bolts.
Steven Tekesky attended West Virginia University, where he was a decorated member of the men's soccer team. He was a three-time All-MAC and Academic All-MAC honoree, and named to the Academic All-Big 12 team. In 2019, Tekesky was ranked 14th nationally in minutes and second in the MAC as a goalkeeper. He was also named the MAC Tournament MVP, and helped the Mountaineers earn their first MAC Tournament title. Serving as a team captain in his final two seasons, Tekesky helped lead West Virginia to their first Elite Eight berth in 30 years in 2021.
