Gymnastics Announces Captains for 2025 Season

PROVIDENCE, R.I.- Brown gymnastics head coach Brittany Harris has announced the team's three captains for the upcoming 2024-25 year, in seniors Julia Bedell and Addie Liebhardt, and junior Sophia Dewar.

Bedell served as one of the Bears' captains this past season, when she qualified for NCAA Regionals on floor. She is a five-time USAG All-American, a six-time All-GEC honoree (three on vault, three on floor), and was crowned the 2023 USAG national champion on floor. She has also been named a USAG and GEC Scholar-Athlete in each of her three seasons.

Liebhardt has been selected as an USAG and GEC Scholar-Athlete the last three seasons and represented the Bears on bars at the UNH Stick It For The Cure Meet and the Bridgeport Quad Meet this past season.

Dewar is a two-time USAG All-American from this past season and earned a pair of Second Team All-GEC honors on vault and floor in 2024, in addition to earning WCGA Scholastic All-America honors and USAG and GEC Scholar-Athlete accolades.
