Brasher and Rappoli Earn All-Ivy Honors

PROVIDENCE, R.I. - A pair of Brown baseball players have been recognized by the Ivy League for their contributions on the field this spring. Junior outfielder Nathan Brasher and senior designated hitter Reece Rappoli have both been named Second Team All-Ivy. It is the first career All-Ivy honor for both players.
In addition, Brasher, who concentrates in applied math-economics, was also named Academic All-Ivy for his work in the classroom.

In Ivy League play, Brasher led the Bears with a .337 average in league play and also ranked in the top 10 in several categories including hits (6th/29), doubles (8th/7), hit by pitches (t-5th/6), and led the league with 11 steals.

Overall, his 18 steals this season ranked third in the Ivy League and were the most by a Brown player since John Sheridan (23) in 2011. Overall in 2024, he posted career highs with his .315 batting average, 46 hits, 19 runs, 21 RBIs, 17 walks and posted an overall slash line of .315/.416/.390. He led the Bears with 14 multiple RBI games and had career-long eight game hitting streak and had a 19-game on-base streak that stretched during the season. He tallied a four-hit game at Davidson on March 8, a pair of doubles with two RBIs and two runs scored against Harvard on March 31, and a three-hit game with two doubles against Princeton on April 6.

Rappoli ranked fourth on the Bears this season with a .281 batting average, which rose up to .320 in Ivy League games. During Ivy play, he posted a .320/.416/.427 slash line with 12 RBIs and five doubles. His 24 hits in Ivy games ranked tied for second on the team and he was a perfect 5-for-5 in stolen base attempts. He also tied for the overall Ivy League lead with five sac flys. He went 4-for-6 with four RBIs and three runs scored in an Easter Sunday victory at Harvard and added a three-hit game with two runs scored in a win at Yale on April 27.
