
Women's Sailing Wins New England Women's Championship

The women's sailing team won the New Enlgand Women's Championship for the Jerry Reed Trophy at Bowdoin College. 16 teams participated in the race, with the Bears coming out on top. This win marked the Bears' third New England Championship of the year. Brown has also won the New England Match Race and Women's Singlehanded Championship (Katharine Doble '26) this year.
The coed sailing team had a second place finish in the 18-team New England Open Dinghy Championship race for the Coast Guard Alumni Bowl at home. The Bears trailed first-place Harvard by only five points.
The coed team also competed in the 16-team Boston Dinghy Cup race at Harvard University. The Bears finished in third place, following Boston College and Roger Williams Unviersity.
Brown earned another second place finish in the George Morris Trophy at Boston Unviersity. Ten teams competed in the event, with Roger Williams Unviersity winning the event.
The Bears will prepare for Nationals this week. The College Sailing Open Team Race Nationals begin Thursday at the Massachusetts Intitute of Technology in Cambridge, Massachusetts followed by the Women's Team Race Nationals on Sunday at Harvard University.
