Breker and Tzou Close out First Day of 2024 NCAA Fencing Championships

COLUMBUS, OHIO – Brown fencers Anika Breker and Alexandra Tzou wrapped up the first day of competition at the 2024 NCAA Fencing Championships at Ohio State. Breker and Tzou posted four and five wins, respectively, and both sit 22nd after three rounds.
Breker collected four wins in the opening three rounds of competition, taking wins over a pair of Columbia Lions – Evelyn Cheng and Rachael Kim. Breker also took victories against Temple's Anna Novoseltseva and Ohio State's Alina Li.
Breker sits 22nd with two rounds remaining.
Tzou picked up five wins in her day of competition in Ohio, taking down Temple's Lauren Johnson, Cornell's Stella Berman, and Duke's Kunling Tong and Natalie Olsen. Tzou also notched a. 5-3 win over former Bear Casey Chan, who is spending a graduate season at Stanford.
Tzou sits 22nd with two rounds remaining.
