Women's Fencing Places Three on USFCA All-Region Teams

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Anika Breker, Jessie Chen, and Alexandra Tzou picked up postseason honors with spots on the USFCA All-Northeast Region teams, announced by the United States Fencing Coaches Association on Thursday.
Breker earned First Team All-Region honors in the foil while Chen earned a spot on the Second Team in the same category. Tzou rounded out the group with Honorable Mention All-Region honors in the sabre.
Breker finished fifth overall at the NCAA Northeast Regional last weekend, climbing several spots above her initial seed and taking 20 bout wins to earn a spot at the 2024 NCAA Championships later this month in Columbus, Ohio.
Chen also captured 20 bout wins at Sunday's Regional to ultimately finish eighth to earn Second Team All-Region honors.
Tzou took 15th at the Northeast Regional and finished the day with six wins to earn the right to compete in Columbus.
