PROVIDENCE, R.I.- The Brown sailing teams placed within the top three at all three competitions this weekend.

The #4 coed sailing team finished second overall in the Wood Trophy Team Race at Harvard University. The Bears ended the eight team competition with a 14-3 record. Vera Allen, Leyton Borcherding, Guthrie Braun, Caroline Keeffe-Jones, Menasha Leport, Emily Mueller, Connor Nelson, Liam O'Keefe, and Camren Spriggs carried Brown to second place.

The coed sailing team also competed at the Salve Regina Team Race Invitational. The team of Blake Behrens, Talia Levine, Janelle Li, Catherine Morrissette, Sidney Moyer, and Ethan Simpson came in second place, after losing a tiebreaker for first. The second team of Martin Atilla, Sierra Bornheim, Laura Hamilton, Katherine Majette, Olivia Miller, and Mason Stang finished in fourth place out of six teams in the event.

The #3 women's sailing team competed in the Jen Harris Women's Team Race at the U.S. Naval Academy. The Bears were part of a three-way tie with Boston College and Cornell University for third place. Charlotte Costikyan, Katharine Doble, Francesca Edmands, Kaitlyn Hamilton, Katherine McNamara, Brianna Ross, Lily Shore, Brielle Willoughby, and Savannah Young represented the Bears in the regatta.

The Bears will continue their season this upcoming weekend as they compete in four regattas.
