
Ivy League Announces All-League Honorees for Track & Field

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The Ivy League officially announced the All-League honorees for the 2023-24 indoor track and field season on Tuesday afternoon. All competitors who finished in first place and won league titles at this weekend's Ivy League Heptagonal Championships earned First Team All-Ivy honors, while those finishing runner-up earned Second Team laurels. The league also announced honorees for Academic All-Ivy League.
All told, five different Bears combined to earn seven all-league honors for their performances on Saturday, four on the women's side and three for the men.

Chiamaka Odenigbo (High Jump)
Rudecia Bernard won her first career Ivy title in the high jump, while Chiamaka Odenigbo successfully defended her title in the pentathlon and finished runner-up to Bernard in the high jump. For her work in the classroom, Odenigbo was also named Academic All-Ivy. Lauren Yeboah-Kodie earned second team honors after finishing runner-up in the 60m hurdles.
On the men's side, Marcus Gillespie took runner-up in the 60 meter hurdles in addition to being named Academic All-Ivy, and John McNeil earned two runner-up finishes to take second team honors in both the high jump, and while setting a new program record in the long jump.
