Ivy League Releases Preseason Baseball Poll

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The Brown baseball team has been picked to finish seventh in the Ivy League Preseason Poll, which was released on Monday.
The Bears finished with 35 points in the poll, 12 points ahead of eighth place Dartmouth. Reigning champion Penn was the unanimous preseason favorite, followed by Columbia, Harvard, and Princeton in the top four.
The preseason poll was voted upon by the baseball athletic communications contact at each institution, along with one media member representing each school.
Brown finished last season in sixth place at 12-26 (9-12 Ivy), just two games out of the fourth and final spot in the Ivy League Tournament. The top four teams in the regular season will qualify for the postseason league tournament.

5. Yale – 66
6. Cornell – 37
7. Brown – 35

All eight Ivies will get their 2024 seasons underway this coming weekend. The Bears will open with a three-game series at UT Martin. Game one is set for Friday at 6 p.m. ET.
