Women's Basketball Prepares for Bryant on Tuesday

PROVIDENCE, R.I.- The Brown women's basketball team is set to host the Bryant University Bulldogs on Tuesday evening at the Pizzitola Sports Center, with tip-off scheduled for 4 p.m. Tuesday's contest is the first of a doubleheader with the men's team hosting Rhode Island at 7 p.m. Both games will be broadcast live on ESPN+ and NESN.

Scouting the Bears (4-6)
- The Bears lost their most recent game to the Providence Frairs 87-81 in overtime on Saturday.
- First-year guard Gia Powell continues to break her season highs, leading the Bears with 20 points in Saturdays' contest. Powell also led the team in triples with four.
- Junior guard Grace Arnolie, and senior guard Isabella Mauricio closed out the game with 12 points. Arnolie posted four steals, with Mauricio earning three.
- Sophomore guard Olivia Young picked up where she left off after hitting five threes against Stonehill, posting three more against the Friars. Young now ranks third in the Ivy League in three point field goals per game with 2.1.
- Senior guard Gianna Aiello is second in the conference in rebounding with 9.3 rebounds per game. She continues to lead the Ivy League in offensive rebounds with 3.7 per game.
- The Bulldogs suffered their second loss of the season, 52-63 to the Marist Red Foxes on Saturday.
- Mia Mancini led the Bulldogs in scoring with 22 points against the Red Foxes. Mancini is second in the America East in assists, with four per 3.3 per game.
- Bryant currently ranks second in the conference, with UAlbany ahead of them.
- The Bulldogs' Nia Scott leads the America East in rebounding with 11 rebounds per game.Â
- The Bears enter Tuesday night's matchup with an 11-6 record against the Bulldogs.
- Brown has beat Bryant in the past three meetings, and looks to extend their win streak to four.
